Here you see Sluyter Logistics Holding B.V. (Moerdijk) × with a Krone semi-trailer, built as an open body. Sluyter Logistics from Assen has a particularly versatile new Krone semi-trailer in its fleet. This is an eleven-meter long two-axle semi-trailer suitable for transporting a take-home truck. The semi-trailer is used to transport all kinds of building materials, traffic signs and material containers and sheds of wholesaler in construction equipment Visser Assen. The semi-trailer was designed entirely to Sluyter Logistics' wishes and built by Krone. Visser Assen has been a specialist and supplier of infrastructure equipment, construction site equipment, road marking and advanced measuring equipment for over forty years. Sluyter Logistics is the company's logistics partner. In close cooperation between Visser Assen, Sluyter Logistics and Krone, the optimal semi-trailer was developed to transport the wide and diverse range of products. Sjouke Vogelzang of Sluyter Logistics: ,,We were really looking for customization and with Krone we have succeeded in creating a multifunctional semi-trailer with which we can transport everything safely and efficiently. Load securing We opted for a flat semi-trailer with side boards and a large number of circular positions for safely securing a wide variety of loads. Furthermore, extra sturdy side boards were chosen. These can be retightened during their lifetime because a shackle is used according to the Hestal principle, i.e. with a rotating head. Furthermore, the aluminum side boards have additional reinforcement. This is achieved with threaded ends running upward from the hinges. As a result, these Krone side boards offer great stability and additional load securing. Forced steering The semi-trailer is eleven meters long and is equipped with a forced steering rear axle. This makes the trailer particularly maneuverable, which is a godsend on tight construction sites. Furthermore, the semi-trailer is equipped with a connection for transporting a 2.5-ton Moffet transportable forklift truck. This allows the driver to independently load and unload his cargo on site. With this transportable forklift truck, even chain stores can be unloaded independently. Sluyter Logistics Sluyter Logistics is a full service logistics provider with branches throughout the Netherlands. The company is active in a large number of different transport disciplines, ranging from air cargo groupage to warehousing, forwarding and, as in Assen, the transport of construction-related products. Sluyter Logistics has a fleet of more than 250 tractor units and around 300 employees. The new Krone semi-trailer operates out of the Sluyter Logistics facility in Assen.
