A beautiful and rare chopper in our Flanders country. Yet another new oldtimer chopper in East Flanders. This Hesston is a 2 row self-propelled harvester that was built in 1974. Precisely one of the wettest autumns Flanders ever knew and then contractor Vandenbulcke from Avelgem buys this chopper from dealer Max Buyck. Later, after a few years of service, the machine was used to chop trial fields of corn. After also this career, they decided to put the chopper away. We found it and informed some enthusiasts who bought the machine and made it operational. At the beginning of August it was already being tested, followed a month later by the real thing.
