Photo of a Mecalac 11 CXi copied from a photo. Stairs were originally delivered this way with a hydro cylinder that works with servo pressure. When you get out of the car, push a button to close the servo pressure and the stairs goes down. After boarding the staircase the servo pressure is on again and the staircase folds back under the cabin.
