Things are not going quite right with the jd 6610. After we put things back together after problems in the shifter cover, the tractor drove fine, but the hydraulic pump was making some gurgling noises and I came across some junk in the swingarm that looked rather like brake lining. Reluctantly took the whole thing apart and the brakes were fine. But, on the left thru-axle there was very obviously more play than you would like. Turns out the bearings are gooey. A lucky accident, I hope. And now let's hope the pump just had some air in the system....
