October 2018 Photo of a Manitou MLT 634 120 LSU tipping tulip bulbs in the planting combine. The Manitou was added to our fleet of machines in the first months of 2017. It's from 2004 and it only had 2,000 hours on it. I was actually quite often short of a forklift, so initially looked at a forklift to go with it. Then I bought this telescopic handler, because it is more comfortable on the road and you can also use it in the field. As a result, we use this machine for all sorts of things and we're still short of a forklift. So here we are with our home-made tipper. We bought a tipper for 500 euros, but it was too wide for our cubic boxes, so I thought I'd narrow it down and have a cheap tipper. After narrowing it, it didn't work, so we had to rebuild it. One thing led to another and during a test tipping action a box fell out, resulting in damage to a truck trailer. All in all, it doesn't look so slick now, it works fine, but it didn't stay cheap anymore either. We would have been better off buying a new one.
