October 14, 2016 Photo of a Deutz D6206 covering straw on the tulips. To prevent the soil from clamping and to retain sufficient moisture in drought, we started covering straw. We also do not have a chopper on the combine and in this way you still have a good cycle of the wheat straw in the cultivation where it comes into its own the most. The straw cover behind the tractor is an almost standard Cebeco. We only made the tension a bit closer to the tractor, so that the Deutz is less likely to go backwards. On the roof is an adapted Heywang manure spreader. We removed the shaft from underneath, reversed and weighted the drive of the manure roller, extended the bottom chain, made a railing and stairs and made a hood around the roller. In particular, the weighting of the drive had a bit more feet in the earth than initially thought. Pulling the straw apart gives rather large forces on the driveline. When we decided to do the decking with a scaffold on the roof, we started looking for a low tractor with 4-wheel drive. That's what this Deutz 6206 has become. He had more than 2,000 hours when purchased in 2005. We haven't had many problems with it. However, there were always standard blinkers in it. This is the only air-cooled tractor we have had. Since we grow tulips in nets, we no longer cover straw. The 8-ton tipper that was often behind this tractor had also become superfluous. We were also a bit bored with the moderate comfort. Then the tractor also turned out to be a collector's item and we sold it a few years ago.
