29 July 2017. Photo of a Deutz-Fahr Agrotron 120 mk3 with Kverneland/rauch sprayer. In 2011, the 2 companies that make up our current business operations both sprayed separately. One company sprayed with 27m and narrow wheels (12.4) on 1.50 m track width. The other company sprayed with 27 m on wide tires (600) on 2.05 m wide track. For 2012 it was decided to buy another sprayer with a sufficiently large tank and 40 m wide trees. This syringe is from 2007 and had been turned by an arable farmer with seed potatoes. He had sprayed 10,000 acres and still looked neat. The tank capacity is 4,000 liters. There are 5-ling cap holders. So we can spray with 5 different caps. Every 50 cm there is a cap and on both sides a lace cap (which only sprays half). The tyre size of the syringe is 650/65r42. My father was going to spray with it, but he wanted to have GPS closure of the caps on it. That still had to be built up. This syringe now switches off automatically per 6 caps if it starts spraying twice. So you never spray twice (or at least, almost not). My father didn't end up spraying much with it. I landed on it and am still spraying with it. Last year there were 2 new sets of caps (environmental measure). There are now 26,000 hectares on it (I estimate that I spray 4 hectares per operating hour) and last year the two pumps were overhauled for the first time. I think it's because I work at low revs. I spray at 1,100 engine speeds and 1,700 engine revs on the road.
