Schlüter en France! Whether they spoke French well in Freising, at the end of the 60s is a big question mark for me, but after seeing the stiff demand for heavy tractors from the former Yugoslavia, Schlüter continued to look for markets for the Super series. Since I now have 2 "French" Schlüters myself, I want to know everything about it. For example, the first Super's ended up in France, at the end of the 60s, via importer Gibouin from Nangis. My old Super E6600V also ended up in the French fields through this importer at the end of 1968. According to one of the leaflets, Gibouin sold tractors from 45 to 180hp. From 1 January 1970 Ferga S.A. from Paris became importer. He took the more compact smaller tractors from David Brown, the larger ones from Schlüter. In those times, many demos were also done in beet harvesting. Because of the ZF gearbox where a PTO could be screwed on the side, the French saw a market for the Schlüters. For example, many Schlüters are equipped with such a PTO, including my latest Super E6600V, but also that of TF'er @ Schluterman. The PTO then drove a defoliator, which hung in front of the tractor. According to my French connection, Ferga sold Schlüter's until 73. From 1982, Smafa Fortschritt became the importer, and that until about 1985. Afterwards it became Heywang, who also imports or builds manure trucks? Through which way Schlüter sold his tractors between '73 and '82 I do not know yet. I have already seen Schlüters from France, who are from that time period. So that's going to be a bit of a search... Matrot's leaflets also occasionally show a Schlüter. They would apparently have had about 6-8 pieces. The tractor in the picture is most likely a Super E7800TV, the exhaust with the short piece above the muffler and the air filter on the side strongly suggest this.
