Feb. 22, 2018 Photo of a Deutz-Fahr Agrotron 120 mk3 with Peecon trench cultivator, engaged in trench cultivation. The late fall of 2017 was wet. If you're on our soil and then you harvest late, as happened here when harvesting chicory, your lance will be in horrible shape for a whole winter. Here we are pulling some ditches over a frost to let the water into the ditch. Harvesting the scant 8 acres of chicory took from 7 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. at night. The computer of the Vervaet beeteater three-axle harvester could not cope with more fuel than 100 liters per hour going to the engine. It would break down and then the whole machine would stop and you would have to bleed it at the back. The tank of the Vervaet was empty around 18:00. Winter wheat was planned here, but you couldn't get there with a spit combination. Then let it lie, let water off and wait, wait and wait. When it was dry in the middle of May, the holes were closed and then weeded and rotated in 1 pass. Then with the maxisprint and then cut corn in. It ended up being one of the best plots of silage corn in the area.
