april 16, 2021 Photo of a Peco selection cart. This cart is from April 3, 2000. built by Jan Petter in Anna-paulowna The cart is driven by a Honda gasoline engine gx200 of 6.5 hp. It idles and with a lever inside the cart you can control the driving speed and direction. We bought the cart in 2016 for 900 euros. Later we built a structure on the back of it that allowed us to work with larger wheels. The original size was 4.80/4.00-8 and now it's 7-16. That goes better here on the light clay even in wetter conditions. We also considered tracks, but this was easier to build ourselves. Bought some bearings, sprockets and a couple of tires. Axles and rims we still had. Now the biggest drawback is still that the gasoline engine is not very quiet. You can talk to each other inside just fine, but it could be a little quieter. We are considering raising the exhaust and hammering an insulated box around the engine. The idea of a selection cart is,that the tulips are in the shade when the selector judges them. The cart stands at 1.50 and moves gently forward. It has two seats. The steering wheel is operated with a tube in the middle of the cart. The tulips are Strong gold. A yellow cultivar that you have to judge "on the leaf." This was the last day for the selection cart this year. It is now back at home.
