April 22, 2021 Photo of a John Deere 6140R with Baselier front cutter and Miedema Hassia sl 4b potato planter. This is how planting on autumn ploughed land goes with us. The cart with pots is on the spray track of the front field, the cutter to mill beds is already waiting. First we drive on the heads a line where the spray track must come. Then we start planting the spores where we want to sprinkle fertilizer. Datis every 7th trip (we sprinkle at 21 m). Then those tracks are sprinkled with the Deutz-Fahr Agrotron 85 on narrow wheels and meanwhile the spray paths are planted. (There we only plant the middle 2 rows). Then we leave 21 meters all around (front and back, left and right) and plant the plot further full. The Deutz-Fahr 6190 ttv drives shortly behind with the Baselier row cutter. When the whole piece is planted like this, there will be a tractor with wide tires (in this case the Deutz-Fahr Agrotron 120) with Kverneland CLI woeler with Kverneland rotor dough around the outer 21 m of the plot from the outside to the inside toss rotor harrows, immediately followed by the plnt combination, the fertilizer spreader and the row cutter. The logistics are of course a challenge and many tractors are needed. We were also irrigating that day where we used 3 tractors and with the potatoes we use 5 tractors, a telehandler and a forklift. Fortunately, we do not have to buy all the machines ourselves, which we plant together with the neighbors. We use the front milling cutter, John-Deere, bottom release belt and half of the row cutter from him. He uses the 6190 ttv and the planter with row sprayer and granulate spreader and our half of the row cutter when planting. In principle, we arrange the work ourselves, but I regularly ask the neighbor to plant for half a day.
