Photo of a John Deere 1030. I had been feeling for a while that the hydraulic pressure left something to be desired. In combination with a strange sound from the pump, I took off the pressure limiting valve a while ago. This turned out to be pretty smashed on the seat. For lack of parts I used a grinding wheel to make it smooth again. Yesterday I picked up this job again and mounted a new pressure relief valve. When assembling it I was probably a bit too fanatical with the tightening because during the first start the pressure line from the pump immediately snapped. (This morning I had a new hose pressed and mounted instead of that one. Started again with the adjusting screw all the way out and slowly increased it to 190 bar. Now the nose comes up in the air again the old fashioned way when lifting something heavy! 👍
