nov. 11, 2021 Photo of a Vervaet Q 616. Grubbing the last beets on Thursday. In this harvester there are no axial rollers anymore. It is built a bit more spacious than the previous series. Therefore, the beet flow can be a bit larger. Also, the maneuverability is much improved. Our contractor has also invested in GPS on this machine. This is used to come out at three meters when piercing. The driver then no longer has to count off the rows. In practice, you put 120 tons of beets on the tipper in an hour. If you have really good beets and you drive fast and with high tippers, the discharge capacity is a bit the limitation. The discharge ladder is a little narrow. A machine from the 0-series first came to run a demo for a day, but it lost too much beet when unloading. Fortunately, that was addressed immediately. This harvester replaces at our contractor 2 Vervaet 17-tonners. There is 1 of those 2 machines left and that one is also running during the busiest week of the year. At our place it was 6.5 hectares and then he continued at a neighbor's place with 6.2 hectares. Around 7 p.m. he was back home. Then I think it ran nicely.
