October 8, 2018 photo of a Deutz-Fahr Agrotron 6.15 with Pink planter 1.50. Here we have the net planter for tulips for the first time behind the tractor. We then planted with the 6.15. The glijgoot on the Bunker roof had to be adjusted slightly, but for the rest it fit immediately. Here you can clearly see that it is a heavy combination. The rear tires of the tractor are here at 2.5 bar. And now there are no tulips in it. On the egg at the front there are 8 front weights of 45 kg and in the wet autumn of 2019 I had to get off the planter at the end to turn and hang on the egg at the front to be able to turn around. I also sometimes had to get off the planter during a trip and help push to get ahead. This was due to too small rear tires and due to incorrect weight distribution. Too much on the back and almost nothing in front. For this we always planted without nets on backs. The organization of work was simpler. The three of us could then plow, prepare and plant and then do about 5 hectares in a day. Now we plant with the five of us and this year we planted 4.5 hectares in a day. Then we planted 5 hectares x 6.5 tons = 32.5 tons of bulbs and now 4.5x10 = 45 tons of bulbs. In terms of engine power, the 6.15 could pull it well; if I was a bit too deep with the planter you could hear it growl nicely and then I knew that I had to lift something (you do that with the support wheels on the front of the planter.) In front of the planter you see a roll of nets. This is the bottom net. On the back is the top net. If you have just finished, you sew the next net to it with the 12v sewing machine and then you can move forward another kilometer or 4-5. If you sit on the back, you control the planting depth and the plate thickness and you check the net and keep an eye on the process.
