I have already responded to it in other posts, Dad's specialty: Trench Milling. Preferably winter day after a limited night frost. But ice cream up to about 3 cm could still handle the Knight. He has always done this work with Ridder milling throughout his working period. Started with a MF35, then several MF165, then a D6806 and finally a Deutz DX4.70 4WD with double air all around. That last combination: DX 4.70 with Ridder I then adjusted myself with an intermediate yoke to be able to get horizontally lower to the ground with the cutter. In the polders, the fields are more convex and with a broad-gauge tractor you do not get deep enough. The disadvantage was that the cutter became about 60cm longer and straightening was even more of an art. In addition, I also made the spreaders hydraulically adjustable.
