Douven veldspuit van PieterA

Douven veldspuit | Picture made by PieterA

Winter 2011-2012 I think. Photo of a Douven Partner sprayer. The last syringe that my father almost always drove. 27 m and 2,400 litres. 20.8r38 underneath I think. Spray with half a bar in the tires. It was an over-aged model in the showroom at our farm. We sprayed with it from about 2000 to 2011. In the spring with the mf 675 and when the potatoes were milled, the 6160 could do it. We used smaller caps then than we do now. 250 liters per hectare, so enough for a small 10 hectares. The pump was at too large an angle on the drawbar. We overhauled the pump every 2 years and we also had the PTO broken once or 3 times. For a while we had an electrical failure, so that 1 section sometimes unexpectedly fell out. For the rest, little use had. My father was always extremely economical with the machines (he had to repair it himself). There was nothing to see on the trees. Eventually we left because together with the company we bought a 40 m machine with 4,000 liter tank from my father-in-law and wife. I have a photo of LMB Zandijk Tholen.
