I recently warned someone on tractorfan that you may well lose a wheel if you have ball bearings instead of tapered roller bearings. So with our old rake that happened a few times, see the proof here. Fortunately, it was dry enough here to reach it with the forklift. This is the 2007 season. The rake is a Pöttinger top 770a, bought used in 2003 or so and it lasted until 2017 I believe.
