March 18, 2022 Photo of 2 Linde Forklifts waiting for the first truck to load potatoes. They are both H 25's trucks. Built in the late '80s? With a Deutz diesel in it. Both trucks have already amply proven their services with us. The rear axle of these types is a bit of the minus, but for the rest they are giant machines. They are solid enough for the scoop bucket. I would prefer with the electric scoops, but that is not recommended because of the lighter final drives in the front axle. Last year we often scooped with the telehandler, but it has been sold. Now with the forklift, I have more trouble scooping a load full every hour. Then just do it as a couple. The second man cleans up the tubes, scoops away the soil, makes coffee and if he still has time left he also puts a scoop bucket on the forklift and helps to fill up the cars faster. Then you'll be done sooner, or you'll have longer coffee breaks. The bottom frame of a shovel box had completely decayed; also, the container did not fit the electric Linde (too wide, thick spoons) So we pimped the box a bit. Immediately provide the worst spots in the bin with new sheet metal and the box with a new paint. For this year we are going to make it with the forklifts, but I hope that next year we will have a telehandler with a bucket again. That works quieter because with the forklift you always have to go ahead in the heap and the box is smaller. the quick hitch allows you to take out and scoop tubes without coming out of the cabin. It all goes well, but is a bit less comfortable and you need a male extra faster.
