Schlüter Super 1250 VL | Picture made by Schluterfan

"Ein Blick in das Werk!" For the Schlüter lovers a very familiar photo, but I wanted to post it once. The photo is in a well-cut version in several books, but I only wanted to put the original one on TF. Why? Because I wanted to show for a bit that the "production line" was not that small after all. The original photo I found in the book "Das ist Schlüter", which was once published by the factory on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the company in 1974. That was also celebrated with a Feldvorführung. There were then 2 long lines of factory new tractors in front of the factory, a photo of which I posted years ago ... With a production of about 600 tractors per year at that time, it was of course not comparable to the other prevailing brands... The picture shows the production of one of the most popular models at the time, the Super 1250VL, Baureihe 1255. In export this model was known as Super E 7200 V. In Belgium there were also many sold, just like in France, Italy and not to forget of course the former Yugoslavia ... In Germany, too, this type was already sold smoothly, as evidenced by the sales lists. Schlüter was number one for quite some time when it came to sales numbers above 100hp... Once major competitors such as Deutz and Fendt came up with tractors that exceeded this power limit, they could bring these tractors (cheaper) to the market. Deutz in particular did well with the 10 and 13006. Fortunately for Schlüter, the export market was growing at that time, so that sales there straightened out what was lost in Germany... Thus, production remained stable for a long time, until the mid-80s... By studying the photo, I assume that it must have been made in the beginning that this model was in production, firstly because of the mother weight. That still consists of 2 parts here. Certain parts have also been modified, even after they have been given a primer, so that they can also be used in the larger models with cabin. The cab was slightly higher away from the transmission, so that some levers were apparently too short. These were then adjusted during production... Hard to see in the picture, but in the background is a row of 6 cylinders waiting to be built in. Due to the loss of the ZF A200 transmission, Schlüters could no longer build tractors under 70 hp... The only 3 cylinder then was the Compact 750 (V). Among the 4 cylinders there were 2 types, Compact 850(V) and 1050(T(V)), of which the 850 the most sold. The fact that the production then consisted mainly of Super's with 6 cylinders, and with here and there an 8 cylinder in between, was also due to the then good sales in the aforementioned countries. In Dec. '74 a Super 1250VL Gross, with open cabin (Silence Kabine): 31590Euro With closed cabin (Super Silence Kabine): 34085Euro. Photo: Book; Das ist Schlüter
