Schlüter Meerdere van Schluterfan

Schlüter Meerdere | Picture made by Schluterfan

Die Köningsklasse! Today is December 23. For the real Schlüter enthusiast still a bit of a day of mourning.... 29 years ago, the very last Schlüter, a Super 1700LS High Speed, left the assembly hall in Freising. It was also, for many, their last day of work. That Anton Schlüter felt sorry for his employees was evident from the fact that he had drawn up a social plan to help his staff find other work and support them where necessary. This he allegedly financed with private money! I turn back even further in time today, back to a time when Schlüter was already worried about the future, although you couldn't see it immediately. Behind the scenes, however, they were already working hard to find a partner to secure the future, only they never really found one, not even when Claas bought about 40% of the shares in '89. On April 15, 1994, the last Schlüter, a Super Trac 1900TVL-LS left for the customer. This photo, I once received via Whattsapp, only the whereabouts of who the photo belongs to has since lost me.... What I do know is that it must have been taken around 1984. There is, how could it be otherwise, yet another remarkable tractor among the list. On the far left is a Super E 3000 TVL, the E in the type is not a clerical error. This tractor, here at a German fair, was transported by train to Saudi Arabia in February 1985, together with 14 other Schlüters. That it is an export tractor can also be seen that there are no stickers on the hood. The transport also included some Compacts, which remarkably did get stickers on the hood. For example, there were some "Compact E6000Vs there. Apparently, Schlüter did have stickers made for these tractors, which was quite exceptional. I myself have never seen it, only once on a photo of a Compact standing in Saudi Arabia.... Returning to the Super E 3000 TVL, in addition to both front and rear double wheels, it also had a set of double tropic filters fitted. Presumably it also had air conditioning installed. The tractor is now back on German soil. A few years ago another Super (E?) 3000TVL with a double set of tropic air filters turned up, namely in France. The tractor had a Laforge front hitch. That the tractor from Saudi Arabia, and the French one are not the same tractor was evident from check of the serial number. They did roll out of the factory together, or shortly after each other. That 3000 had a short life in Belgium with a dealer, but then moved to Germany. A total of 12 Super 3000TVLs were built. Most of them are known to me by now. Next to the 3000, another Super Trac 2500VL and I suspect a Super Trac 1600TVL can be seen, which despite the somewhat blurry photo, were provided for the German market. Another photo showed another exceptional tractor, namely the dark gray Super 2200TVL, the first Schlüter with electric 8-speed power shift. Photo: Whattsapp
