Zetor 4511 van Kramer U800

Zetor 4511 | Picture made by Kramer U800

Photo of a Zetor 4511. We were able to restore this Zetor for the past 5 months on commission and deliver it to its third owner yesterday. This 4511 was delivered in 1970 in Eemnes by van Hamersveld (Zetor dealer and later also Fendt dealer) to a small gentleman farmer with prestige, he sat among others. He wanted to be seen by everyone and that is why he bought this Zetor 4511 (then the strongest and biggest tractor in the village until a few years later a Zetor Crystal 8011 was delivered to another company), before he went on the road a big cigar was lit and he drove no higher than fourth gear so that everyone could see him when he drove over the dike here, he was a fairly tall man which looked impressive on such a large tractor. After all, most farmers here still had a tractor up to 30 horsepower. Eventually we were able to buy the Zetor from the daughter of the then owner in the summer of 2021. The very next day a customer called to ask if he was still looking for a 3511. When he heard that we still had a 4511, he was immediately sold and bought it. The Zetor had some faults but was in fairly original condition. But as many know: if you start something you will get nowhere with such an old tractor, the best man had replaced the brakes himself because they were worn out, later on he came with more and more things that were wrong and we had to solve until the whole Zetor was back with us... So for 5 months I worked on it about 2 days a week to get it back to the way it was, to summarize the things that happened to it: complete front axle overhaul including new springs, new clutch, engine and gearbox resealed all around, a lot of new sheet metal on it, old sheet metal made smooth again, new radiator, Sirocco bracket built up, new tires and so on and so forth. The owner painted the sheet metal himself. And this is the result, now the Zetor is not allowed to retire but it has to go back to work at the current owner's farm where it will be used for various jobs. Thanks to Rietman Hasselt and Zetrac B.V. for the parts.
