March 21, 2023 Photo of an adrift modified Peco tulip selection cart. Last year, the aluminum frame of the selection cart sagged. We had weakened the structure years ago to fit larger wheels on the rear. So as a result, it sagged halfway through last season. Quickly, on a rainy day, we welded a frame where the engine and drive are mounted separately from the cab. We then drove it like that for a few more days until the end of the season. Advantages of this new construction: sturdier, less noise in the cabin, more ground clearance. This year the frame had a black paint job and the white rims are now red. Lifting with the forklift or telehandler was no longer possible; hence, a frame was welded under it that allows the machine to be moved easily. This frame will not be painted again this season. Tomorrow we will start working with it.
