... Last week I was finally able to install the new thermostat. Friday night ... le moment supreme ... for the first time in 4 years the little engine from the S450 hummed again and the workshop was filled with enthusiastic Schlüter 3 cylinder sound. So much for my enthusiasm... During the test drive I could not get it into gear without creaking. Once in gear it did run, but when depressing the clutch the tractor would not stop. Adjusted the clutch to the maximum possible and even honed the stop a bit. Nothing helped. The clutch was overhauled at Vekoma 2 years ago. A clutch can stick, but in this case I couldn't get it loose. This afternoon I cut them in half again and looked at the clutch. Monday I'll put them under the press to see if the disc is effectively loose or not. To be continued...
