Today the contractor came to hoe the corn. While seeding the first 11 ha of corn, it started to rain. The ground began to stick so much that the driver decided to stop. The following day, another hailstorm came with 20 mm of water on top. The result was that the soil had a crust on top. For a while I was afraid that the corn would not get through this but it did. Now it was nice weather to break up the rest of the crust, and immediately remove all the sprouted weeds. Maybe I won't have to spray these plots, but we'll have to wait and see.
