In Flanders, vegetables abound. The region around Roeselare (B) is not called the "vegetable garden of Europe" for nothing. When there are dry periods, many farmers and contractors are busy with balers and water carts. Contractor Vermeulen-Vandoorne from Oostnieuwkerke (B) is one of them. Many have a system mounted on the boiler plate to water, but at vermeulen's house, they built a spray boom on their Joskin Euroliner. With this technique, no less than 30% water is saved, compared to the classic system with the boiler plate. The water curtain also allows low pressure irrigation, which benefits young plants. This sprinkler boom has an unfolded span of no less than 24m!
