Fox Max 2 | Picture made by MMaarten
This week's old box features an old photo series of the Belgian contracting company Van Mulders. The Van Mulders family from Baardegem started the contracting company, led by Father Julien in the late 1950s. Over the years they had many different brands of tractors in the yard, but they also tested out many different harvesters. The first corn harvester to come on the farm was a 2-row Riviere-Casalis harvester in 1972. Next came a Laverda TA 150 and in 1976 they came up with this FOX Max II. This harvester was given double tires in the wet seasons to combat the mud. The finisher at the time was equally unique. The Van Mulders' then drove a Ford County and a Russian-made manure truck off the corn. Those who want to see and read more photos as well as a bit of text can always visit http://www.deoudedoos.be
