Schlüter Meerdere van Schluterfan

Schlüter Meerdere | Picture made by Schluterfan

3 Generation, 3 Roten Farben, ein Marke! Before the 19 went back to his pilgrimage, all 3 next to each other for a family photo! There is actually something to say about schlüter's red, although it may be simple red. It is usually the art, if you restored a Schlüter to find out in which red it was. It is often said that they were painted in RAL 3002. That is not true in reality. How many types of red have been used at Schlüter is a big question mark. When I was talking to the owner of the Schlütermuseum he told me that when the representatives of Mipa came, and they asked if they liked the red, they always said that it could be a bit dark or lighter :D. That seems to be the simple reason why, if they are still in the original color, you can be so different in terms of red color. Over the years, and the sunlight, most people may get a bit duller in the paint, but look for 2 Schlüters in the same red ... I selected the red of my own Compact with a color chart. Fortunately, I still found the old stickers under the paint on the repainted bonnet. That's what I had to do. Scanning was not a solution, because the surface area turned out to be too small. In red as it is shown here in the photo, it was delivered new at the time. The 1250 in the middle was painted in RAL 3002 when I restored it, in reality the red deviated more towards an orange-like red. The 1900 is an even younger model, but was also repainted once in its lifetime. Whether he was really in this red I do not know. A 1250 that runs about 10km from here is in even darker red than the 19, and it is still in the original colors. Standard, gibt es nicht bei Schlüter!
