Schlüter Compact 950V6, busy cheating... Cheating? Yes, there is no longer a Schlüter engine in this type, but an M.A.N. Schlüter no longer built small 6 cylinders at that time, and because the demand for tractors with this type of engine was on the rise, Schlüter took the decision to buy the engines from someone else. Also to avoid having to invest (high) development costs in developing a new engine themselves. The costs incurred in developing and producing the Profi Trac's had clearly left its scars.... As of 83, by the way, this was the smallest Schlüter in the range, which then ran to the 320hp Profi Trac 3500TVL To give a price indication, this tractor cost, at the time, 1,870,500 BEF new. Converted to euros 46,400euro, without options, without VAT. A Super 2500VL, tractors like the Emond brothers have, cost at that time about 4,650,500 BEF, converted to euros 115,300 euros. Photo taken in Kirchlengern.
