16/07: Now that the many weeks of heavy rainfall had come to an end and the land was starting to dry out a bit, it was time for many dairy farmers to bring in the 3rd cut of grass, not because there was so much on it everywhere, but mainly because after the 2nd cut, ensiled in a dry week between the first heavy showers and the even more devastating showers that followed, most of them had not had time to fertilize the land before it got too wet again. Also Bosmans Hilvarenbeek could get to work again with their well known machines, here Joop himselfs chops the grass with the Krone Big X V12 in Diessen(N-B) with a John Deere 8200 with self-propelled 3 axle hooklift, when you look behind them, the damage caused by the heavy rainfall becomes painfully clear again! :( Half of the corn plot behind them is estimated to average 30 cm in height.
