Koning Uienplanter van PieterA

Koning Uienplanter | Picture made by PieterA

October 14, 2016 Photo of a King's Planter. The last day of planting tulips. Initially, this planter had large hollow discs to form the beds. These discs were slightly one after the other, so that they did not touch each other. This always pulled the machine aside a bit, so the connections were not always good. We bought a ridging hood for it from a contractor at Hoorn / Enkhuizen nearby and since we mounted it everything runs straight. In 2014 we bought Gps. Planting tulips was the first thing we did with it. We only had 1.5 days to plant, because then they go off rain again. It doesn't feel good that you don't have time to set things up or adjust things and we had seen people from the neighborhood, who had GPS for the first time, that a service van often came with it the first day. Fortunately, the system worked well from the start and we didn't have to adjust anything. So we got the bulbs in just before the rain. I always enjoy teaching people something and because we are a bit equipped for that, (Overcapacity with all machines, relatively much work we do ourselves, I make time for it) it is often possible to use an employee in training or a new assistant for work that they like. Here is a boy for the first time on the planter of that time, I think 18 years. If something like that goes well, then I don't have to do it myself. Only the spraying of the crops with the sprayer I do not dare to hand over to anyone.
