Mullie Kipper | Picture made by PieterA

Jan. 24, 2017, photo of a Mullie 6-ton Kipper. This tipper was already on the farm when my father bought it in 1983. He did still put a French rear bulkhead in it himself and I think he replaced the bottom from wood to steel himself. Also the balloon tires were replaced once with these covered truck tires. And after a hose snapped one time and consequently the body came down, a hose breaker was put in between. I overloaded it once in 1998 and then when tipping, the frame went down instead of the bucket going up. The previous farmer on the farm had a fotd in front of it. That was in the late 70s, early 80s. I think a 3000. When the local contractor was short a cart this combination was always called in because it still got through on the wettest parts. With us it was first behind an Mf 590, later behind the Mf 65, then behind the Mf 155, then behind the Mf 135 and when the 135 left, behind the 155 again. At first we used it for all agricultural products, but in the end we only used it for rinsed liatris bulbs and fertilizer. Nowadays we have larger tippers for the liatris bulbs and fertilizer is often in big bags. The cart became obsolete and refurbishing it would be quite a job. This is 1 of the last pictures I have of this cart. Then it was sold.
