Yesterday with the 2 sons we spent an evening tinkering with the 1250 VL. The engine was ticking tremendously while milling which eventually turned out to be a completely disappeared exhaust gasket on the first cylinder. Yesterday we also removed the entire engine cover because it ended up being much worse than we first thought. A new one was then ordered anyway from someone in Germany who has the original molds that came from the former factory. This morning I also removed the RPM cable as it had also broken through. Meanwhile, an email was sent to Stefan Had in Germany to order a few small parts. The 2 exhaust collectors lying on the front wheel are a bit rusted in and will be flattened tomorrow at someone in my own village who can do such things.
