Well, dilemma.... This is the shaft that holds the brake, gas and clutch pedals and it shows quite a bit of wear. As a result, the pedals are dangling back and forth quite a bit. The holes in the pedals are still pretty good, if you put them on the piece that is not worn, the space is not too bad. When I still had access to a decent lathe myself, I would have turned it off welded long ago. But that has become a lot more difficult now. So maybe I'll leave it that way or maybe hard chrome plating is an option.
