In 1998 I went on holiday for 10 days to my friend Alisher and his family, who at the time was the 'rule nephew' for Cebeco and AEC in Uzbekistan. I had 3 reasons for that trip: 1) I still wanted to say goodbye to all my friends in that country after my sudden departure. 2) I was curious how, especially the tractors, were standing at that time. 3) I saw business for my company Nicotech to set up a technical center with mobile workshops. On the picture you can see the 2 bosom friends from Samarkand. The one on the right is the Antares driver of that generation photo on the veranda, the other the Laser driver. One a little grayer, but both with the same smile. I had planned to give everyone who was still economical with his Same a Nicotech cap and a Nicotech sticker on the bonnet. Both tractors still looked neat with around 12,000 hours on the counter.
